Arne Norell ‘Pilot T184’ Armchair, 1970s

SKU: 7117 Categories: ,

Description

Swedish curved armchair in leather and dark-stained beech, model ‘Pilot T184’, designed by Arne Norell and manufactured by Norell Möbel AB in Sweden, 1970s.

This outstanding piece by Norell was no doubt made in a very refined manner. The chair’s slightly curved backrest gradually shapes into the armrests, a design that gives the piece a modest winged shape and creates a very inviting appearance. Additionally, what is immediately noticed is the armchair’s front legs which are slightly more elevated than the back ones, offering therefore maximum comfort for relaxation.

The armchair is restored and upholstered entirely in a refreshing-colored leather, which creates a beautiful contrast with the dark-stained beech legs. The chair’s clean lines, simple design, and sturdy construction make it a timeless and iconic piece of furniture that would be a welcome addition to any home.
