Designed by Jindřich Halabala (1903–1978) and manufactured by Spojené UP závody in the 1930s, these poetic Art Deco stools retain their original condition, reflecting Halabala’s precise craftsmanship and design approach, combining functionality with period aesthetics. An iconic example of Czechoslovakian furniture design, they reflect the streamlined, innovative forms popular during the era and have become a sought-after collector’s item. Today, Halabala’s designs can be found in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum of Art in Olomouc and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
