Rare pendant lamp, model “K2-15”, in enameled steel and opal glass, designed by Paavo Tynell and manufactured by Idman in Finland, 1950s.
One of the rarest pendant lamps designed by celebrated Finnish industrial designer and pioneer of European lighting design Paavo Tynell in the 1950s, the model K2-15 features a conical light-gray enameled steel shade that is set on top of the lamp’s matte opal glass frame, appearing as if it floats around it. The lamp’s design is then completed by a brass element on top featuring the original manufacturer’s stamp “Idman” as well as a white ceiling cup and an extendible drop-down cable.
