Swedish barrel-shaped lounge chair in pine and iron, attributed to Axel Einar Hjorth and manufactured by Åby Möbelfabrik in Sweden, 1930s.
Featuring a very clean and minimalist design, this Swedish lounge chair is made of beautiful stained pine. It features a unique design resembling the look of a wooden barrel, a fabulous look that is mainly achieved by the forged iron fittings around the backrest, which are secured to the pine frame by large round iron nails, serving both a functional and aesthetic role. This chair is attributed to Axel Einar Hjorth and was manufactured by Åby Möbelfabrik in Sweden during the 1930s. Unique in every way, this piece will add character to one’s interior and brighten up the space with its fabulous design.
This lounge chair is in original condition, with wear consistent with age and use.
