Pair of rare Bauhaus cantilever chrome-plated tubular steel armchairs, model “EK32”, designed by the company Hynek Gottwald in former Czechoslovakia, 1935.
Being one of the Hynek Gottwald’s finest and rarest designs, the “EK32” armchair model is rare to come to market. These exquisite Bauhaus armchairs are a true masterpiece from the 1930s, showing an incredibly beautiful, age-appropriate patina. The armchair’s simple and functional design, featuring sleek tubular steel frames and wooden armrests, perfectly embodies the principles of the Bauhaus movement. Their timeless design has inspired countless furniture designs since their creation, and they remain highly coveted collectible pieces to this day.
The armchairs’ design is undeniably special, with the shape of the armrests gradually developing toward the backrest.
